An orthotic order management and 3D scanning platform connects clinics and labs through digital orders, 3D capture, CAD integration, and fulfillment tracking. Clinics submit orders and prescriptions; labs receive work, manage production, and update status. Integrated 3D scanning (including mobile apps) supports in-office or remote capture. The system typically includes admin and user dashboards, prescription and order form sync, order status and tracking, a materials catalog, and support for multi-location or multi–production center workflows, with security and permissions for PHI and roles.
Lab or organization administrators manage users, locations, materials catalog, and system settings. Permissions control who can view or edit orders and prescriptions.
Clinic and lab users see orders, prescriptions, and scan uploads. They can submit new orders, track status, and view history.
Some platforms offer an iOS app for 3D foot capture. Scans are uploaded and linked to orders or prescriptions for use in CAD or fabrication.
Prescription and order data can be entered in structured forms or synced from EMR/EHR. Data travels with the order so the lab has full context.
Orders move through states such as submitted, in progress, and shipped. Both clinic and lab can see current status and history.
The lab uses a materials catalog to select options for each order. The platform may support multiple materials and configurations.
Systems may support multiple production centers or locations. Routing and permissions determine where orders are sent and who can access them.
Access control and permissions protect PHI and limit actions by role. Data is transmitted and stored in line with typical healthcare and business practices.
